What is God's plan of salvation?

The Church Of Christ

We are Christians only (Acts 11:26). The Bible is our sole authority. The Bible is taught in our classes and from our pulpit each time we assemble. We accept the challenge of producing book, chapter, and verse for everything we teach and do. All things are done decently and in an orderly fashion (I Corinthians 14:40). We assemble on the first day of every week to worship God as the first century Christans did. (Hebrews 10:25).

Prayer is an important part of our worship. They continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Pray without ceasing. Acts 2:42 and I Thessalonians 5:17.

Our singing is without instrumental accompaniment. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

The Lord's Supper is observed each Sunday. Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Acts 20:7

Each member supports the work of the church by returning to the Lord a portion of what they have prospered. Concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so I do to you. On the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. I Corinthians 16:1 & 2

We preach the Bible, the fully inspired word of God, and the answer to today's problems. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: so that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished for all good works. II Timothy 3:16 & 17

1. Hear the gospel. Faith comes by hearing; and hearing by the word of God. You will know the truth; and the truth will make you free. Romans 10:17 and John 8:32. The word of God is found in Bible.

2. Believe the gospel. I said to you, that you will die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you will die in your sins. He that believes and is baptized will be saved; but he that believes not will be damned. John 8:24 and Mark 16:16. Believe, hope, trust, and faith.

3. Repent of sins. I tell you except you repent, you will all likewise perish. Peter said, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 13:3 & 5 and Acts 2:38

4. Confess Christ. Whoever will confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart a person believes into righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Matthew 10:32 and Romans 10:9 & 10

5. Be baptized for the remission of sins. Peter said, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Likewise even baptism also saves us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38 and 1 Peter 3:21.

6. Christian growth and faithfulness. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow with it." Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Fear none of those things which you will suffer, the devil will cast some of you into prison, you be tried; and you will have tribulation: but you be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life. 1 Peter 2:2, 2 Peter 3:18, and Revelation 2:10.
